Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant! Called at 9 am to let them know we had a party of 24. We were told that they would let the staff know to prepare. We arrived at roughly 1030 and were told everyone has to be present to be seated. That's fine except then after waiting were told they could only seat us in groups of 4. So you mean to tell me that if my parents, myself and my 3 children came to this establishment we wouldn't be able to eat together? As we were being seated we then realized that we were being seated all throughout the building instead of in the same area. The staff was incredibly rude and could have just told us from the beginning that they could not handle our party. We ended up leaving and went to a small family restaurant that was incredibly kind and cleared half of their restaurant and had us seated together immediately. As we were leaving Cracker Barrel they paged for a party if 6 to be seated? Never again will I visit this place!
Been going here a while, food is pretty good. But, there is always an issue with my order. We go for breakfast every Sunday morning and I get the same thing every time. Always ask for my eggs scrambled well done, don't be afraid to brown them. I like my eggs very very well. Typically, it's hit or miss with whomever is cooking. The last time, I had to send them back. They were runny and under cooked. Keep going because the rest of the meal is great though and the staff is usually kind and attentive.
Comfy & delicious. Staff is friendly. Mega food that taste great. Call before you go on a weekend. They take buses so you might wait if you don't call ahead.
This restaurant is excellent for people travelling. If you are an American travelling through, this restaurant lives up to the standards and menu you expect from other Cracker Barrel restaurants. The gift shop has a wide variety of items and at good prices. The restaurant is clean (except the restroom). The service is very good. The food is good quality, however it is chain restaurant quality. Meaning it is good, but not the excellent Western New York food we expect from our local restaurants here. For this reason, it is loved more by visitors and displaced southerners it seems. A great place to take people visiting from the midwest, who like to stick to the suburban life style. Not the type of place to take a vegan, or a person who wants to sample local cuisine. It's reliable and a good value. The service is professional.
::Update:: haven't been all summer, just went today and nothing has changed. Apparently whomever is cooking is just a jerk and refuses to make well cooked scrambled eggs.
Although we have always enjoyed this chain restaurant we were past up for seating by 3 other families of the same size who checked in after us and even after we asked to speak to manager after we seated he/she never came. Not sure if this had to do with our daughter having Down Syndrome or not but its not a exceptable that dor some reason we are not as important than others. For this reason we will never stop at this specific location again and advise others as well.
