The idea of a "lifestyle center" is noble but will be a climactic failure. 100 Oaks Mall in Nashville has become several versions of a "lifestyle center" and is a hulking shell of a building. If you do this center idea you will all be looking for jobs within a year maybe two. Your best course would be to re-energize efforts to land large anchor tenants. People will come if they have something to come for.
The mall had the potential to be a premier shopping location. I think the May 1989 opening of the Walden Galleria Mall destroyed this place's ability to become the elite Shopping Center in the area. For my taste, there is a lot of space between locations that actually want to visit. Their rescued pet store is adorable and really seems to care for the animals. This is the manufacturing location for Pure Integrity candles. Once you get one of those you will never need to shop at Yankee ever again. There is a pretty delicious Duff's chicken wings located in this mall, and it is one of the few Sears stores that is still open, plus that contains a Lands End store. The Eastern Hills Mall is still available place and I do see a purpose to visiting it.
Very clean and well maintained mall. The workers are helpful and pleasant to everyone. This mall feels very safe. I like the unique stores.
It's a shame that this mall has become so dead. As a former employee of the mall I cannot believe the change there. It used to be such a great place to shop. Busy all the time. I feel that online shopping has a lot to do with it. The location is perfect in the stores always had exactly what you need.
I like this mall because it's not far from my house. The mall is never crowded or busy. Teens and older adults shop here a lot. I like the food court. This mall is a great place to just hang out and chat with people.
