Very pleasant.
Nice size park with a lot of charm. Although there is playground equipment, it's my least favorite in the area. The equipment is old and very spread out. Recently that area of the park is also frequently covered in dog droppings, and I mean everywhere. For some reason people stopped cleaning up after their dogs. It's been that way the past three times I visited. The park is surrounded by water, so you have to be careful if you bring little ones. Aside from that, the park has a nice wading pool, the best picnic shelter in the area, a stage, and some nice porch swing type seats overlooking the water.
Beautiful little park, which, as it's name suggests, is on an island. Nine of us were there for opening day of their annual Old Home Days and we all had a great time. TIP: Buy your drinks and food from either the Masons or the little league stands and save a LOT of $$$!
Nice and quiet; my daughter loves the playground here. The may be larger, nicer playgrounds around, but this one is very nice.
Went for Octoberfest. Great food great music great time.
Beautiful spot for a "private" event. Wading pool for kids, bathroom facilities next to shelter with creek flowing next to shelter for fishing
